This is one ‘tactic” that everyone should pay attention to. Stop replying to and sending resumes to blind job postings. Do your research and homework. Find out who works at the company you are trying to go to work for, and then connect with that person and find a way to convey to them that you are excited about an opportunity with them, why they need to hire you, what problems you can solve for them etc….
People hire People…it has been that way, and will continue to be that way. A resume does nothing but paint a snapshot of someones experience…don’t let that be the only thing a company sees….make sure they see the real you and know what you can do to help them be a better company.
