There has always been talk about how a tool or technology is going to replace the “recruiters”….which we all know is a bunch of bunk. Nothing and I mean NOTHING can replace the impact that a good recruiter can have on an organization.
The best candidates are usually always passive, and passive candidates need to be “recruited”, they need to be courted, relationships need to be built, etc..and while some of the technologies out there help to make those things happen…they will never take the place of good old fashioned recruiting..
Recruiting is something that guys like me do day in and day out….all day….it is not something that just happens, you can’t just spend a couple minutes a day recruiting…..you have to live it, breathe it, and want it….
Until technology can accomplish all of that then a good recruiter has nothing to fear ….
