Absolutely Nails it on the head.  If you are a hiring manager please take the time and read this post.  It will make your life so much easier I promise.

If you are a recruiter read this and be prepared to step up to the plate and deliver and what the hiring manager is looking for.  If they do their part, you have to do yours or we are right back where we all started.

Recruiters are not a commodity.  At least the good ones aren’t.  Companies should fight to work with the good ones.  They will see an immediate impact on so many levels.  A good recruiter can effectively lower the cost of doing business by a couple multiples if you would let them do what it is that they do.  Any fee you pay is minimal if you truly take the time to understand all of the numbers involved.  You will see that a recruiters fee is a small price to pay for the bottom line growth the placement affects.
