HR departments have to realize that their old school ways of doing things no longer work.
Put the egos aside and do what you are there to do. Find, Recruit, AND Retain the BEST possible person for the role. Not the best person who is actively looking, not the best person who fits into your outdated salary band, THE BEST PERSON period!!
When that starts happening and systems and processes are developed to truly allow for that to happen you will see transformation. Until then it’s all just lip-service and fancy marketing speak!
